THIS IS THE PAGE FOR KRISTIE KAM LOWELL AND SANDY ONLY. Attention Sandy:
Where are your postings? I don't see any in the logs?
LETS GET STARTED!
Project Objective (Retyped for Convenience):
When substances change from one solid phase into another the change is accompanied by absorption or evolution of heat. The temperature change at which such a change takes place is called the transition temperature. In this experiment, you will determine the transition temperatures of solids. The data collected will be appropriately represented using graphs with a proper rationale for the observation. The solids that may be used for the experimental study are sodium triosulphate penta hydrate, sodium sulfate decahydrate, sodium acetate dehydrate.
Research and come up with a possible lab procedure for setting up your equipments and performing the experiments.
Include safety concerns that should be addressed
Make a list of equipments that may be used to perform the experiment
Submit a draft of the procedure adopted for the lab to your teacher and discuss if the materials required are available and the lab activity can be performed
Choose a convenient time for your experiment, record your data and present your findings as instructed
